What does a lock on a discord channel mean?

Follow these 7 steps to learn how to lock a Discord channel on PC
Step 1:- Open Discord dashboard, you can open through the app or web by accessing www.discord.com/new.
Step 2:- Click on the server in which you have a channel to lock, you can find the server on the left-hand panel in the Discord dashboard.
Step 3:- Locate to the setting icon of the channel which you want to lock and click on it. Channels are listed just below the server.
Step 3:- Once you click on Channel settings, a new window of Discord will appear. Click on Permission from the left-hand side.
Step 4:- Select @everyone which you can find below ROLES/MEMBERS.
Step 5:- Click the X which is next to every permission, X will turn into glowing red and scroll down to the bottom to make sure you clicked X on every permission.
Step 6:- Once done it will ask to save changes at the bottom, click Save Changes .
Step 7:- Your channel is now completely locked, and nobody on the server can access it.
Now here we locked our channel completely, but if you want a few of your channel members to be active only so that only allowed people can communicate or see the channel, then follow the instruction.
Step1:- Open Discord dashboard and click on the server where you have your channel.
Step 2:- Click on the setting icon of the discord channel.
Step3:- Click on Permissions
Step 4:- Look for + sign which is next to ROLES/MEMBERS
Step 5:- Once you click on + it will ask the member to ADD
Step 6:- Type the user name of the member to whom you want to grant permission and add them, you need to do this manually for all the members to whom you want to grant permission.
Step 7:- Now click on the green tick√ bar for permission you want to grant, do it for every member you added.
Step 8:- Now click on Save changes and now this discord channel is open for these members.

Follow below 10 steps to learn how to lock a channel in Discord Android
Step 1:- Open Discord application on your phone.
Step 2:- Tap on ≡ icon which looks like 3 minus sign at the very left-hand top of the discord.
Step 3:- You will now see all the servers on the left-hand side
Step 4:- Tap on the server where you have a channel to lock.
Step 5:- Now click on the … 3 dots that are on the right-hand side of the server name and then click on server settings.
Step 6:- Tap on Channels and then select the channel which you want to lock.

Step 9:- You will see all the permission now, tap on the red X for all the permission.

If you want to lock a discord channel which can be seen by everyone but no one can click on it, then continue reading and follow the steps.
Your channel should be a Voice discord channel and you should have Admin rights.
